Sand Raiders

Sand Raiders Squad Roles and Map Pressure

Sand Raiders-style gunfights on open ground punish lone pushes. Squads that assign pressure lanes and support fire hold space longer than three players sliding toward the same dune.

Lane ownership

Give each player a slice of the approach. Overlapping all three sightlines leaves a free flank on the fourth. Call when you rotate so the lane is not empty.

Use smoke or distraction utility to cross open sand — ego sprints are content for the team already nested.

Pressure without overcommit

Take space after a pick, then reset plates and ammo. Endless swinging after one kill creates the next wipe.

Leave one player on overwatch during looting. Open maps make footsteps optional and optics mandatory.

Comms that stay short

Call direction and distance, not stories. “Two west ridge” beats a novel mid-fight.

After a loss, mark whether the break was a flank or a bad peek. Sand maps make both look the same until you review.
